Affects of Uniforms on Students

As I'm sure we all know, the students here at Metropolitan Business Academy are now required to wear uniforms. Personally I see it as sort of a different approach to the dress code that Metro's had since the school opened. The reason that I think of it this way is because as with the dress code, you have options on what you want to wear. For example, this "dress code" states that you wear a navy blue or white collared shirt and either khaki or navy pants, etc while other schools with uniforms have stricter rules on them requiring you to wear exactly the same thing every day. This new uniform is comparable (in my opinion), to the old dress code being that then you had to wear a collared shirt and slacks in whatever color you wanted. Personally, I'm not really bothered by the new uniforms, I don't hear many complaints either. Mostly  it's the underclassmen that seem to have negative attitudes toward these uniforms, and I think that generally the school as a whole has neutral feelings about these uniforms. And as far as school climate, I'd have to say that it feels like the same Metro that I started my Freshman year at, just more improved.  For more information on uniforms please visit the school's website.
